Q:
Hi ! I am a member of
NOSM - and it has been very helpful. I have adjusted pretty well with my
daughter going to visit her father every other weekend - by our choice not
a court order (yet). My mother, however, has not. She made choices before
about keeping my brother & sister away from their father. Also my mother
watches my little girl for me while I'm at work. So natural my mom worries
about her granddaughter. I am wondering if their is a helpful book for
Grandparents of children from split homes. I've tried to talk with her &
it doesn't help - she has her mind set that it is a terrible way for my
daughter to grow up - "being bounced back & forth". My mother loves to
read. So I was hoping you Knew of a book that could help the grandmother
adjust to the situation. Thanks, Maggie.

Hi Maggie,
here
is a few books you might want to check out:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0965389588/qid=1023835713/sr=1-6/ref=sr_1_6/103-3460154-7859029

Another
way is that you should try to talk to your mother. Ask her to open up to
you. Each individual is different and does the each divorce , and each
situation. It's good that you care enough & worry for your daughter, but
if you can't trust your mother. One or two books will not help her out,
since she's been divorced for years. Best wishes to you Maggie.
