Question 5. I am looking for a roommate, and I would prefer to find another young single mother like myself w/ a child approx. the same age as mine. I am having a very difficult time finding any websites to make my search easier...any ideas or suggestions?

Question 7. I am a single mom of three boys , I receive SSD , SSI and child support . I would like to know what grants I could receive to help me buy a home or a mobile home and land. Any idea?

Question 8. I need help looking for a place to live with my 3 year old daughter. I am currently living with a family who is now going through a divorce and as of August when the lease is up I wont have anywhere to go. I'm still on the waiting list for HUD and when I last called them they said that I still have a couple of more years before I hear from them. I work full-time and I don't receive any child-support because I don't want my baby's dad to have any rights towards her. I went to court and because of my situation I was granted 100% full soul and physical custody of my daughter. As you can see I'm doing it all on my own, however I am having a horrible time trying to find a place to move into because the rent is so high and I can afford it. So I please beg you if you can please, please lead me towards the right direction to keep looking for somewhere decent for my daughter and I to move into I would truly appreciate it.

Question 9.  I would like to know if there is any grants that I can get for purchasing a home I am a single parent and really need the money to where I don't have to pay anything back?

Question 10. I was just wondering how I could find another single mother to share my house with? (Remember the show Kate & Allie?) I really don't want to relocate the kids. I'm sure I'm not the only single mother in this situation ... how can we find each other?

Answer:
Thank you for contacting us at SingleMom.com. We're sorry to hear what you are going through. Here is briefly how this program work. This is a FREE website. We're a non government Website which we try to collect as many information as possible to provide single moms & visitors like you to visit. All our information is based on contributors, volunteers & visitors like you.

Here is some information we have that is available on our Website. http://singlemom.com/HOUSING/Housing.htm

Here is some information about house sharing: http://singlemom.com/HOUSING/co_adobe.HTM

As far as I know, there isn’t any program regarding financial help to single moms.  There’s some program in each city where you live, but you have to contact your local to find out.  There’s certain program for low income, but they lock you in to live there for 30 years.  I’m not sure if there is some program like that in your area. So you have to contact your city & county to find out. You can visit this Website for more info: www.50states.com

Unfortunately, we don't have any information regarding any financial help for single moms. Most of single moms not making enough for living and if you just barely make it at a minimum wage, then you will not qualify for government assistant. So as much information we have that is available on our Website right now.

Craigslist.org - www.craigslist.org - is one of the good website to post & find house-sharing & more.

Best wishes,
