At the time of my divorce I thought my world was ending.  I felt sorry for myself and my sons since it felt that we were all losing.  Then something wonderful happened.  After the tears and the immediate effects, I rediscovered the path I was on before detouring for a man I thought would grow with me.  The onslaught of pain shielded the beauty of moving on.


With my personal discovery, the three of us have reinvented the term "family." It's not the amount of money you spend or having both parents in the home.  It's growth, discovery, inspiration, reinventing old rules and coming up with new ones.  It's laughing when things don't go your way and accepting that you just learned another way to handle something else.  Truly, with every door that closes another one opens.  The journey you were on took a turn whether expected or not, it is happening.  The personal decision to move on (despite what you have to move on with or without) will open those doors ahead of you.
