Welcome to kid of the month. Leyla Marie - 3 and half years old This month we featured "Leyla Marie" from St. Louis, Missouri. She is 3 and half years old and in the fourth grade. This picture was on her birthday at home. ***** My little girl Leyla Marie has been my angel. We separated from their father a little over a year ago. He has no contact with us by choice and is from Honduras and not a legal citizen; therefore, he is not required by law to pay child support. Leyla is now 3 ½ . She is such a sweet baby. I’m working and going to school for my Nursing Degree. I’m very busy. I work four ten hour days so that I don’t miss out on bath and bedtimes every night. Every night before she goes to bed she tells me how she tried to be such a good girl today and that she loves me very much. She also says she’s sorry for fighting with her brother (Alex 23 mos.) and for being not nice. Then she asks me if I had a good day at work and would I rock her for just a “little minute”. She talks about her baby brother and says “that baby’s a mess, isn’t he mama? We need to watch out for him”.
Being a single mommy,
working, and going to school, seems like it all just vanishes when I realize
what a sweet girl Leyla is growing into. God Bless her. Princess, You make Mommy remember to love all the rainbows, butterflies, and “tap shoes”. Thank you for making me smile every single day! God Bless you angel. Love, Mommie
