Documentary Explores the Lives of Single Adoptive Mothers - by
Elena Rue - In her photo documentary, Adopting Motherhood: Families
Brought Together by Single Adoption, Elena Rue the shows the happy, sad,
frustrating, and heartwarming moments that go along with single parenting. In
this body of work Rue focuses on a community of women in New England who have
decided to adopt children both from the United States and abroad. Many of them
are active in an organization called SPACE (Single Parents Adopting Children
from Everywhere) and garner a lot of their support from fellow adoptive parents.
