What a great weekend ahead for everyone…time off work, and hopefully plans are made to be with family and friends, and some relaxing time is yours.
On this Memorial day weekend, I couldn’t help but think of ALL the mother’s who have sent their sons and daughters off to war, never knowing if they would return or not, but sending them off with a hope and a prayer.
The hundreds of thousands of brave young men and women protecting America and keeping us safe. including the many who did this in generations past. It’s a tremendous sacrifice that we often take for granted.
Our struggles as single mothers, heading our households, taking the lead in making every decision, and raising our children should make us feel just as proud. Proud that mothers everywhere are helping shape and mold the leaders of tomorrow, whether our children become teachers, bankers, soldiers, construction workers, environmentalists, entrepreneurs, or artists. Our challenge is to raise our children to be their very best, and that idea comes off the backs of our parents and their parents before them.
This weekend take a few moments to recognize who fought for our country, for our right to be free and appreciate the land in which we live. For all you mothers who stand strong everyday in your pursuit of a better life for you and your children, I honor you and think there is no greater job in time, than being a Mother. God Bless our Armed Forces, and God Bless the strength in Motherhood!
