Love Your Heart

Once upon a time, there were two wonderful people who fell in love and promised to be together for a lifetime. Then something happened and it didn’t work out, and they went their separate ways. They had one child or maybe two, but it was a sad and lonely time.

Now here you are supporting your family, working full time, or part time, making all the decisions, and worrying about your future. The love you once thought was forever, has become a very distant memory. The thought of being in love again, feeling cared for and respected seems like a dream, far, far away.

It’s not. You are loved. You will be respected by others but first, choose to respect yourself. You need to take care of your self.

So now, today of all days, Love Your Heart! Love what is Good about yourself, Love your hard work, and all your efforts to do your Best. Love your voice who speaks for your family and your children. Love your strength that has taken you this far. Love your shoulders that have carried the weight of your young life and your child. Love your legs and feet for the thousands of steps you have taken to be a strong single mother. Love your arms and hands for holding your child and keeping them safe. Love your mind for wanting to understand life holds endless possibilities.

If there is no Mister Right in your life right now, that’s okay. I know it’s not how you planned it, I know it’s not what you expected. I know for me, I learned more about the woman I wanted to be through my hardships, and my struggles. These are the times when you discover your strengths and imagine your dreams. What would you really love to do? What is your passion? What is your dream? Search for those answers within and believe that you can achieve what you dream.

Someday, that wonderful guy will come along, and love you and your child with all of his heart. Be patient, and remember, to Love yourself and let your own light shine. You have the power to reinvent yourself, and to change the course of your life in ways you can barely imagine. Trust yourself, believe in yourself, and Love your spirit, that can soar with imagination, hope and a promise that things will be better.

Take one moment today, to take a long deep breath, and sigh. Whom do you love? Who loves you? What really matters today? Is this a day of commercializing love or a day to think about what Love truly means? Love for a partner, love for a parent, love for a friend, love for your children. It’s all about Love.

For today, Love Your Heart.
