Everybody needs love. Not a day goes by that I don’t tell someone that I love them. There are a lot of hurt people in our world and the first way to connect is through compassion. Our children teach that lesson everyday. The way they take your hand, look at your face, cuddle in your arms, or bring you to tears.
Parents offer love, even in the busy lives you lead, the stressful pressures of finances, finding the best childcare, or securing a future for yourself and your family. It’s all done in the name of love.
Love is opening a door for someone, sharing a meal, a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold. Love is a conversation of listening, without judging, a friendship without conditions, a dream to hold onto. Love is the night-time ritual, of reading books and learning something new. Love is tucking in your child with a prayer of love and hope for all their tomorrows.
There are many things parents might not have, that single mom’s could only wish for, but you always have the power to Love. You can be tired, drained, defeated, but your heart still loves. That’s a beautiful thing. The values we teach our children start with love. The examples we show our children come from love. The faith we hold dear, is love.
When the bottom drops out, when it feels like there is nothing left, and you are tired of the struggles, find the love, that has been there. If we can open our hearts just a little more, every day, we won’t have to search anymore, because Love will find us.
I love you Moms!
