The Youth Foundation aims to foster permanent attitudes of self-reliance, confidence, self-discipline, responsibility, volunteerism, and exemplary character.
The objective of the Youth Foundation is to award the Hadden Scholarship to exceptional secondary school seniors, who are financially needy. The scholarship is awarded for undergraduate college education.
The Hadden Scholarship is awarded in amounts between $2,500 and $4,000. The awards are renewable for a total of four years of undergraduate studies.
Among selection criteria are scholastic records, character, extra curricular activities, employment experience, financial need.
Application information:
- The applicants need to be U.S. citizens seeking higher education at accredited four-year colleges or universities.
- The required grade average is 3.5 or better.
- The applicants need to specify the first and second college choices, and the intended course of study.
- The applicant needs to provide transcripts, SAT/ACT scores, class standing.
Parents’ financial statements need to be submitted in order to determine the financial need of the student.
In addition the applicant is asked to submit an essay and two letters of recommendation.
Applications are accepted between September 1 and March 15. Download the application form, print it and follow the instructions.
The Foundation notifies the selected applicants in late May or early June
